Babar Azam Reaches To BIG Milestone During SL vs PAK In 2nd Test, Check Here

Pakistan run machine captain Babar Azam is running in his excellent form in white and red ball cricket. Babar has not disappointed so far in the series vs Sri Lanka.

Babar Azam scored a brilliant century in the first innings of the first Test to help his side to win the first match against Sri Lanka. Pakistan’s team will now expect a similar performance from Babar Azam after chasing a target of over 500 runs in the fourth innings.

In Day 4 of second test in Galle, Babar Azam has crossed a big landmark, as completeling his 1,000 runs as captain for Pakistan. He has now become the seventh captain for Pakistan to have crossed the 1,000 Test runs landmark.

Babar Azam Became The Fastest Asian Batter to complete 10,000 Runs

Earlier during first test in the ongoing series against Sri Lanka, Babar Azam has became the fastest Asian batter to complete the milestone of 10,000 runs in international cricket surpassing Kohli to the elusive feat.

Babar took just 228 innings to reach the mark in international cricket. Although, he is just behind some big names like Viv Richards, Hashim Amla, Brian Lara, and Joe Root. He surpasses Virat Kohl by 4 innings, who reached the mark in 232 innings.

Now the captain of Pakistan in all formats of the game, Babar has been a consistent run-scoring machine in red and white ball cricket both, and broke Pakistan’s record for the fastest player to reach that landmark in their cricketing history.
