DSEK Announces Commencement of New Academic Session After Annual Board Exams
The Director of School Education Kashmir, Tassaduq Hussain Mir, has announced that the new academic session will commence shortly after the conclusion of the annual regular board examinations. Speaking to reporters at an event, Mir stated that the department had set timelines and was fully prepared for the upcoming academic session.
This news will bring relief to students and parents who were anxiously awaiting the commencement of the new academic year. After a difficult year, students are eager to return to their classrooms and continue their studies. The DSEK’s announcement offers reassurance that the department is committed to providing a smooth transition into the new academic session.
Mir also addressed concerns regarding the transportation fees of private school students during the months when schools were closed. He clarified that private school students would not be responsible for paying transportation fees for the period in which the schools were shut down due to the pandemic. This news will be welcomed by parents who have been struggling financially due to the pandemic and the associated lockdowns.
Furthermore, Mir emphasized that the ongoing academic session would conclude after the culmination of the annual regular board exams. This is a departure from the past, where the academic session ended in December. The change is expected to provide students with additional time to prepare for their board exams and complete their coursework.
Lastly, the DSEK director discussed the issue of private schools charging registration fees. He warned that the department would take strict action against any private school found to be violating government guidelines. This is a significant announcement, as it provides a sense of security to parents and students who have been subject to unfair fees and practices in the past.
